Succulent pork roast slow-cooked and served with a delicious tomato sauce. A perfect choice for Sunday lunch.
Preparation Time: 3 hours
Serving Size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

- 1 kg pork shoulder or loin
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Sear the pork roast until golden brown on all sides. Remove the meat and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic. Sauté until softened.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Return the pork roast to the skillet and cover it with the tomato sauce.
6. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook on low heat for about 2-3 hours, until the meat is tender.
7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil.
