Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 400 g chicken breast fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
2. Cut the chicken breast fillets into small strips. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
4. Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Pour the cream into the skillet and mix well. Let it simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and combine all ingredients. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve a creamy consistency.
7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese has melted.
8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
