Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine and coat the spaghetti in the garlic oil mixture.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
