Delicious and beautiful royal icing flowers perfect for decorating various baked goods. Easy to make and keep well at room temperature.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: About 20 flowers

Ingredients:

- 2 egg whites
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- Food coloring (desired color)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the icing: In a bowl, whisk the egg whites and lemon juice. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until the mixture is stiff but flowy.
2. Color the icing: Add food coloring to the icing and mix well until you achieve the desired shade.
3. Transfer the icing to a piping bag: You can use a proper piping bag or a strong freezer bag with a small hole cut in one corner.
4. Pipe the center dots: Create several dots of icing on your baked goods, allowing them to dry.
5. Pipe the petals: Start with one dot for each petal, then pipe additional petals on either side of the dried petal. Repeat until the flower is complete.
6. Let the flowers dry: Allow the decorations to dry at room temperature, covered to protect from dust.
