Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and grease a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
4. Pour the melted chocolate-butter mixture into the egg mixture and stir well.
5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes.
7. Allow the cake to cool before serving. If desired, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar or top it with whipped cream.
