Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef (20% fat)
- 12 slices of bacon
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar)
- 100 ml mayonnaise
- 100 ml ketchup
- 100 ml lettuce (e.g., iceberg)
- 1 tomato (sliced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Shape the ground beef into four patties and season with salt and pepper.
2. Wrap each patty with bacon slices, ensuring the bacon covers the entire patty.
3. Grill or smoke the bacon-wrapped patties over medium heat for about 6-8 minutes per side, until the bacon is crispy and the patty is cooked through.
4. Add cheese slices on top of the patties during the last few minutes of grilling to melt.
5. Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill.
6. Assemble the burgers: spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, place the bacon-wrapped patty with melted cheese, add lettuce, tomato slices, and ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
