A delicious and easy no-knead bread that results in a crispy crust and soft interior. Perfect for any meal! Preparation Time: 14 hours (12 hours rising)
Serving Size: 1 loaf
Ingredients:
- 7 dl coarsely ground wheat flour
- 0.5 tsp dry yeast
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 4 dl warm water
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the flour, dry yeast, and salt together.
2. Pour in the warm water and stir until a smooth dough forms.
3. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 12 hours.
4. Generously flour a kitchen towel and turn the dough out onto it. Sprinkle more flour on top of the dough.
5. Shape the dough into a loaf and fold the edges of the towel over the dough. Let it rise for another 2 hours.
6. Place a cast-iron pot with its lid in a cold oven and preheat the oven to 225°C (437°F).
7. Carefully remove the hot pot from the oven and turn the risen dough into the pot. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the bread is beautifully golden brown.
