Ingredients:
- 500 g cleaned small fish
- 4 kaffir lime leaves
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- Juice of half a lime
- 0.5 tbsp dark sugar
- 1 fresh chili, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1-2 tbsp fish sauce
- (1 can coconut cream, if serving with rice)
Instructions:
1. Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add the kaffir lime leaves and coriander seeds to the pan. Sauté for a moment, stirring with a spatula.
3. Add the cleaned small fish to the pan and cook for a short time, carefully turning them.
4. Pour in the lime juice, dark sugar, chopped chili, soy sauce, and fish sauce over the fish.
5. Cover the pan with a lid and let the fish simmer gently until cooked through, turning carefully occasionally.
6. If serving with rice, add the coconut cream towards the end to achieve a sauce-like consistency.
7. Serve warm and enjoy!
