Fried Vendace with Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Delicious fried vendace served with creamy mashed potatoes, a perfect combination of flavors. Preparation time is about 30 minutes and the recipe serves 4.Ingredients:
- 500 g vendace
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 800 g potatoes
- 1/2 dl cream
- 1/2 tsp salt (for mashed potatoes)
- 1 tbsp butter (for mashed potatoes)
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until soft.
2. Prepare the vendace: Rinse the vendace and dry them with paper towels. Mix flour, salt, and black pepper on a plate.
3. Dredge the vendace in the flour mixture until well coated.
4. Heat a frying pan and add butter. Fry the vendace over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Drain the boiled potatoes and mash them. Add cream and butter, and mix until smooth. Season with salt.
6. Serve the vendace with warm creamy mashed potatoes.
