Serving Size: 4 patties
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked beans (such as black or kidney beans)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (such as oregano or thyme)
Instructions:
1. Mash the cooked beans in a bowl using a fork or an immersion blender.
2. Add the rolled oats, onion, garlic, and grated carrot to the bean mixture.
3. Stir in the olive oil, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and herbs. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
4. Shape the mixture into four patties.
5. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
6. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
7. Serve warm with a salad or bread.
