Fried Vendace (Paistetut Muikut)

A delicious and crispy fish recipe, perfect as a side dish or main course.

Ingredients:
- 1 kg vendace (small)
- 2 dl rye flour
- 1 dl wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- White pepper to taste
- Butter (or margarine) and oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Clean the vendace, if they are larger than small ones. Small vendace can be left uncleaned.
2. In a deep plate, mix the rye flour and wheat flour together.
3. Add salt and white pepper to the mixture according to your taste.
4. Heat butter and oil in a frying pan.
5. Dip the vendace in the flour mixture and fry in the pan until golden brown and crispy.
6. Serve immediately with potatoes or salad.
