Ingredients:
- 2 pike perch fillets - 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 200 grams mushrooms, sliced
- 100 ml cream
- 1 tablespoon anise liqueur (e.g., pastis)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Season the pike perch fillets with salt and pepper. 2. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pike perch fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the fish is cooked through and nicely browned. Transfer the fillets to a plate to rest.
3. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown and tender.
4. Pour in the cream and anise liqueur with the mushrooms. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice into the sauce. Mix well.
6. Serve the pan-seared pike perch with the anise sauce and enjoy!
