Ingredients:
- 500 g pike fillets
- 100 g butter
- 50 g hazelnuts
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt and bubble.
2. Add the hazelnuts to the skillet and toast them in the butter until they turn a beautiful golden brown. Remove the nuts from the skillet and set aside.
3. Season the pike fillets with salt and black pepper.
4. In the same skillet with the remaining butter, cook the pike fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until the fish is cooked through and has a nice color.
5. Serve the pan-seared pike with the toasted hazelnuts. Squeeze lemon juice over the dish if desired and garnish with fresh parsley.
