A creamy and flavorful Indian dish made with tender chicken in a spiced tomato sauce. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken breast, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 400 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
4. Add the chicken strips to the pan and cook until they are no longer pink.
5. Mix in the garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder, and cook for a minute to release the spices' aromas.
6. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
7. Stir in the cream and mix well, allowing it to simmer for a few more minutes.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
9. Serve with rice or naan bread.
