Traditional Pasha

A delightful Easter dessert made with creamy cheese, butter, and nuts. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g quark cheese
- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 egg whites
- 1 dl cream
- 1 dl currants
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 dl nuts (e.g., walnuts, if desired)
Instructions:
1. Whip the butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
2. Gradually add the egg whites to the whipped mixture and continue beating until firm.
3. In a separate bowl, whip the cream and gently fold it into the butter mixture.
4. Stir in the quark cheese, currants, lemon zest, and vanilla sugar.
5. Add the nuts and mix until well combined.
6. Pour the mixture into a clean pasha mold or cheese mold.
7. Cover the mold with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
8. Unmold the pasha onto a serving dish and garnish with fresh berries or nuts if desired before serving.
