A classic Italian pasta dish that is simple yet flavorful, made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper.

Serving size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
