Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili flakes. Perfect for a quick dinner! Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if needed to help coat the spaghetti.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
