Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
