Ingredients:
- 250 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 300 g chicken breast, diced
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 ml chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
3. Add the diced chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
6. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried basil.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and warm it through.
8. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil on top.
