Preparation Time: 1 hour (including rising)
Serving Size: 12 donuts
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g sugar
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 100 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 100 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 liter rapeseed oil (for frying)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and add the sugar.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and vanilla sugar.
3. Add the yeast mixture and eggs to the flour mixture. Knead the dough until smooth.
4. Incorporate the softened butter and knead until fully blended into the dough.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
6. Roll the dough into a thickness of about 1.5 cm and cut out round donuts.
7. Allow the donuts to rise for an additional 15 minutes.
8. Heat the oil in a pot and fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides.
9. Place the donuts on paper towels to drain and dust with powdered sugar.
