A quick and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
9. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
