A delightful chocolate cake infused with festive flavors, decorated with delicious white chocolate trees. Perfect for your Christmas table! Preparation Time: 1 hour + cooling
Serving Size: 12 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate - 150 g butter
- 2 dl sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl beetroot juice
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 100 g white chocolate (for decoration)
- Coconut flakes (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a water bath. 2. Add the sugar to the mixture and stir well.
3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar, then fold into the batter.
5. Pour the beetroot juice into the batter and mix until well combined.
6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 30-35 minutes.
7. Allow the cake to cool before frosting.
8. Melt the white chocolate and pour it over shapes you've made from baking paper to create trees. Let it cool.
9. Decorate the cake with coconut flakes and the white chocolate trees before serving.
