Ingredients:
- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh cilantro or basil (optional)
- 1/2 tomato (optional)
- Chili or paprika powder (optional)
Instructions:
1. Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
3. Mash the avocado with a fork and mix in the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
4. Spread the avocado mixture on the toasted bread slices.
5. If desired, slice the tomato and add it on top of the toast.
6. Garnish with fresh cilantro or basil and sprinkle with chili or paprika powder if you like.
