Ingredients
- Light garlic cream cheese - 1 egg
- 0.25 tsp crushed black pepper
- 1 can yellow or red lentils
- 1 can whole peeled tomatoes, drained
- 2 tbsp cooking oil for sautéing
- 0.5 tbsp cornstarch
- 0.5 tbsp garlic cloves, minced
- 0.25 tsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 large ciabatta bread
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1 onion, chopped
Instructions
1. Rinse and cook the lentils according to package instructions. 2. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in oil until softened.
3. Add the cooked lentils, drained tomatoes, egg, cornstarch, crushed black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
4. Shape the mixture into patties and fry them in a pan until golden brown.
5. Slice the ciabatta bread in half and spread garlic cream cheese on one side.
6. Place the patties on top of the bread and add arugula and iceberg lettuce.
7. Close the sandwich and enjoy.
