- 200 g flank steak
- 2 hamburger buns
- 1 fresh jalapeno
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 dl mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (or to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce (e.g., romaine or iceberg)
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
2. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper. Cook the steak on the grill or skillet until it reaches your desired doneness (about 4-5 minutes on each side).
3. Slice the jalapeno in half and remove the seeds. Grill the jalapenos alongside the steak until they are soft and slightly charred.
4. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce together to add some kick to the burger.
5. Assemble the burger: Place the bottom bun on a plate, add lettuce, the cooked steak, grilled jalapeno, tomato slices, and red onion. Finally, spread the mayo-sriracha mixture on top and place the top bun over it.
