A classic Italian dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes for a simple yet flavorful meal. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil and toss to combine.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!
