A delicious and filling dish, perfect for family dinners. This recipe brings the classic macaroni casserole back to your dining table! Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g macaroni
- 400 g ground meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 2 dl grated cheese
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp oregano (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions and drain.
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
4. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
6. Mix the cooked macaroni into the meat mixture.
7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and pour the cream over it.
8. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
9. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (392 °F) for about 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
10. Let it cool for a moment before serving.
