A delicious and filling weekday dish perfect for the whole family. This easy recipe is a great way to utilize what you have in your fridge.

Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g macaroni
- 400 g ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml cream
- 2 eggs
- 200 g grated cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onion until soft.
3. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and let simmer for a few minutes.
5. Mix the cooked macaroni with the meat mixture and pour into a greased baking dish.
6. In a bowl, combine the cream and eggs, then pour the mixture over the macaroni.
7. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the casserole.
8. Bake in the oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
