Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked beans (e.g., black beans or kidney beans)
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Mash the cooked beans in a bowl with a fork or an immersion blender until fairly smooth.
2. Add the rolled oats, onion, garlic, carrot, and parsley to the mashed beans.
3. Season the mixture with soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix all the ingredients well.
4. Shape the mixture into patties, about 1/2 to 1 cup per patty.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
6. Serve warm with a salad or bread.
