Ingredients:
- 125 g butter, at room temperature - 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 120 ml milk

Buttercream Frosting:
- 250 g butter, at room temperature - 400 g powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a muffin tray with cupcake liners.2. In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, mixing until smooth.
5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners.
6. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the cupcakes are golden brown and cooked through. Allow to cool.
7. To prepare the buttercream, beat the butter until fluffy. Add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
8. Frost the cooled cupcakes with the buttercream.
