Pulled Pork in the Oven

A juicy and easy pulled pork recipe that cooks in the oven with a long simmer. Serve with hamburger buns, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Preparation Time: 10 hours (includes simmering)
Serving Size: 6-8 people
Ingredients:
- 2 kg pork shoulder - 100 ml soy sauce
- 100 ml palm sugar
- 200 ml lager beer
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Place the pork shoulder in a large roasting pan and roast uncovered for about 30 minutes. 2. Add the soy sauce, palm sugar, and lager beer to the pan. Mix the ingredients well.
3. Cover the pan with a lid and reduce the oven temperature to 95°C (203°F). Let the meat simmer in the oven overnight.
4. In the morning, turn off the oven and let the meat rest for an additional hour.
5. Remove the meat from the pan and shred it into juicy pieces using a fork.
6. Transfer the pulled pork back to the roasting pan and pour over the cooking juices (and BBQ sauce if desired).
7. Return the pan to the oven at 200°C (392°F) for 30 minutes until the top is beautifully browned.
Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns with coleslaw and BBQ sauce if desired.
