Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
7. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
