Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas (canned or boiled)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Rinse the chickpeas and mash them using a fork or an immersion blender.
2. In a bowl, combine the mashed chickpeas with rolled oats, onion, garlic, bell pepper, cumin, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
3. Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties.
4. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
5. Serve warm with salad or bread.
