This delicious turkey pie combines whole wheat flour and potato flour, making the crust nutritious and flavorful. Perfect for lunch or dinner! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients
Crust: - 2 dl whole wheat flour
- 1/2 dl potato flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 100 g margarine
- 1 dl cold water
Filling:
- 300 g cooked turkey meat (e.g., ground)
- 1 dl cream
- 1 dl grated cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme)
Instructions
1. Prepare the crust by mixing whole wheat flour, potato flour, and baking powder in a bowl. 2. Add margarine and rub it into the mixture until crumbly.
3. Gradually add cold water and knead the dough until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Sauté the onion and bell pepper in a pan until soft. Add the turkey meat and cook until done.
5. Stir in cream, cheese, salt, pepper, and herbs. Let it cool for a moment.
6. Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and line a pie dish with it. Pour the filling over the crust.
7. Roll out the remaining dough and cover the filling. Brush the top lightly with water.
8. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 30-35 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
