Romanian Mititei (Grilled Sausages)

Delicious Romanian grilled sausages that are easy to make and taste great, perfect for summer barbecues. Preparation Time: 4 hours (including marinating time)
Serving Size: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground meat (lamb, pork, beef)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp paprika
- About 5 tbsp dried rosemary or basil
- A drizzle of oil
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- A splash of water
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients thoroughly. It is recommended to knead the mixture by hand for a uniform texture.
2. Pack the mixture tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours to marinate.
3. Shape the marinated mixture into sausages, skewers, or meatballs. If you have casings, you can make sausages as well.
4. Form thicker and longer rolls and grill them gently, turning occasionally until cooked through. Avoid direct flames.
5. Serve the mititei with fresh white bread, mustard, and cold beer.
