Ingredients:
- 300 g fresh salmon fillet
- 250 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 100 g butter
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon (juice and zest)
- 100 g fresh basil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces.
3. In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and let it brown until it turns a beautiful golden color.
4. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for a moment until fragrant.
5. Add the salmon pieces to the pan and cook until the fish is done, about 3-5 minutes.
6. Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon and add the lemon zest.
7. Toss in the cooked pasta and fresh basil. If needed, add a bit of reserved pasta water to keep the mixture moist.
8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
9. Serve the pasta warm and optionally grate Parmesan cheese on top.
