A delicious yellow sauce that adds flavor to chicken and is perfect as a side dish. The sauce combines vegetables with the freshness of orange. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 vegetable broth cube or equivalent vegetable stock
- 1 onion
- 1 cup cooking cream
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 100 ml orange juice
- Pepper
- Fresh parsley
- Fresh mint
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Honey
- Soy sauce
- 1 orange
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the onion and the orange. Wash and slice the yellow bell pepper.
2. Sauté the onion, bell pepper, and orange slices in a splash of oil in a pan until they soften.
3. Add the vegetable broth cube or stock to the pan and mix well.
4. Pour in the cooking cream and orange juice, mix, and let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
5. Season the sauce with honey, soy sauce, pepper, salt, fresh parsley, and mint to taste.
6. Serve the sauce with chicken and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
