Boiled Chicken with Creamy Sauce

A delicious boiled chicken dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner and loved by the whole family. Preparation time is about 1 hour. Serves 4.Ingredients:
- ½ carrot
- ½ tsp rosemary
- 1 dl dry white wine
- ½ tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 small onion
- 25 g butter
- 2 dl sour cream
- 3 whole white peppercorns
- 4 dl broth
- 1 small frozen chicken or 400 g chicken pieces
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp dried tarragon
- Light part of a leek (about ¼)
- About ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Start by thawing the frozen chicken in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
2. Chop the carrot, onion, and light part of the leek into small pieces.
3. Heat the butter in a pot and add the onions, carrots, and leek. Sauté the vegetables for a few minutes.
4. Add the chicken to the pot and pour in the broth and white wine. Add rosemary and white peppercorns.
5. Boil the chicken on low heat for about 40-50 minutes, until cooked through.
6. Remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool for a moment. Save the broth.
7. Add the flour to the broth and mix well. Heat the mixture until it thickens.
8. In a separate bowl, mix together the sour cream, egg yolks, and tarragon. Add this mixture to the thickening broth and stir well.
9. Slice the chicken and serve it with the sauce. Enjoy!
