A delicious shrimp casserole packed with flavor, perfect to enjoy with rice or bread. Preparation time is about 30 minutes, and the recipe serves 4.Ingredients:
- 300 g large frozen shrimp
- 500 g crushed tomatoes
- Splash of ouzo (optional)
- Drizzle of olive oil
- ½ handful of herbs (e.g., rosemary, oregano, thyme)
- 2 shallots
- 100 g grated Emmental cheese
- 1 fish stock cube
- ½ red chili pepper
- 6-10 cloves of garlic
- 150 g feta cheese
Instructions:
1. Thaw the shrimp in the refrigerator in the morning.
2. Peel and chop the shallots and garlic. Slice the chili.
3. Heat olive oil in a large pan and add shallots, garlic, and chili. Sauté for a few minutes.
4. Add the thawed shrimp to the pan and cook for a moment.
5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add ouzo, fish stock cube, and herbs. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
6. Crumble feta over the mixture and sprinkle with grated Emmental cheese. Allow the cheese to melt slightly.
7. Serve hot with rice or bread.
