Ingredients:
- 1 can (230 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 package (300 g) smoked tofu, crumbled
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons capers, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 dl flour (e.g., wheat or gluten-free)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Rinse the chickpeas and drain them well.
2. In a bowl, crumble the smoked tofu and add the chickpeas.
3. Add the chopped shallot to the bowl.
4. Mix in the lemon juice, capers, dill, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth.
5. Stir in the flour until the mixture is well combined.
6. Shape the mixture into balls, about 25-30 pieces.
7. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the balls for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
8. Serve the balls with mashed potatoes and a cold oat-based sauce.
