A delicious fish taco made with fresh fish sticks. Perfect for summer gatherings or a tasty weeknight meal! Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g fresh fish (such as cod or salmon) - 1 dl flour
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 8 tortillas
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 red cabbage
- 1 tomato
- 1 lime
- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cut the fresh fish into sticks. 2. Prepare three separate bowls: place flour in one, crack the egg into the second, and mix breadcrumbs with spices in the third.
3. Dip the fish sticks first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
4. Fry the fish sticks in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
5. Chop the red cabbage, tomato, and avocado into small pieces.
6. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
7. Fill the tortillas with fish sticks, red cabbage, tomato, and avocado.
8. Squeeze lime over the tacos and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
