A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well to combine.
6. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
