Delicious cabbage rolls filled with a savory mixture, enhanced by the secret ingredient of soy sauce.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 large cabbage
- 400 g ground meat (beef or pork)
- 1 dl rice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 dl water
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
2. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in oil in a skillet until soft.
3. In a bowl, mix the ground meat, cooked rice, sautéed onions, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano.
4. Heat water in a pot and use it to soften the cabbage leaves. Carefully peel off the leaves.
5. Place a portion of the filling in the center of each cabbage leaf and roll it tightly.
6. Arrange the rolls in a baking dish and pour water over them. Cover the dish with foil.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes.
