Description: Soft and fluffy pita bread, perfect for filling with your favorite ingredients. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8 pita breads
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ cups warm water
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp oil
- Approximately 5 ½ cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
2. Add salt, sugar, and oil to the water mixture.
3. Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour into the dough.
4. Allow the dough to rise until it doubles in size.
5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
6. Roll out each ball into flat circles about 6 inches in diameter.
7. Let the rolled-out breads rise for 30 minutes.
8. Bake the pitas in a preheated oven at 450°F (225°C) for about 8 minutes, or until they puff up into fluffy pockets.
9. Cut the pitas open and fill them with your choice of fillings.
