Delicious and crispy French breads, perfect to serve with soups or salads. Preparation time: 1.5 hours. Serves: 10 bread pieces.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 dl water
- 50 g margarine
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
Instructions:
1. Heat the water and melt the margarine into it. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
2. Add the dry yeast and salt to the water. Stir well.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture while stirring until the dough is smooth and elastic.
4. Incorporate the minced garlic and knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
6. Knead the dough again and shape it into your desired bread forms.
7. Place the breads on a baking paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F) and bake the bread for about 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown.
9. Allow to cool for a moment before serving.
