A rich and creamy pasta dish that cooks quickly and is sure to please the whole family. Perfect for a weeknight meal! Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 300 g chicken breast fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Slice the chicken breast fillets into strips. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add the chicken strips. Cook until golden brown and cooked through.
3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté until the onions are soft.
4. Pour the cream into the pan and mix well. Allow to simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to achieve the desired sauce consistency.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss until well coated with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Serve the portions garnished with fresh basil.
