A classic Italian pasta dish that is quick, simple, and packed with flavor. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and a pinch of salt.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with garlic oil. Toss to coat the pasta, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to create a light sauce.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
