Delicious gingerbread cookies perfect for Christmas gifts or treats. Homemade gingerbread brings warmth and flavor to the holiday season.

Serving Size: About 30 cookies

Ingredients:

- 150 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 dl cream
- 4-5 dl all-purpose flour

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add sugar and syrup. Heat the mixture over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
2. Add the spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves) and salt. Mix well.
3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Add baking soda and cream to the mixture.
4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour until the dough is smooth and soft.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thin layer. Cut out desired shapes for the cookies.
8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
9. Allow the cookies to cool before decorating.
