Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 carrot
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Rinse the chickpeas and drain well.
2. Chop the onion, garlic, carrot, and bell pepper into small pieces.
3. In a bowl, combine chickpeas, rolled oats, chopped vegetables, paprika powder, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
4. Mash the mixture with a fork or an immersion blender until it's smooth but still slightly chunky.
5. Shape the mixture into patties.
6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
7. Serve the patties with a salad or sauce of your choice.
