Homemade Burger Buns
Homemade Burger Buns
recipe
These homemade burger buns are easy to make, look fantastic, and taste much better than store-bought versions. Preparation Time: 1 hour (including rising time)
Serving Size: 6 buns
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 200 ml milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 packet (7 g) dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 50 g butter (melted)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until slightly lukewarm. Add the sugar and dry yeast, stir, and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and add the melted butter.
3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes, until it has doubled in size.
5. Divide the dough into 6 pieces and shape them into buns. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Cover the buns and let them rise again for about 20 minutes.
7. Brush the buns with the beaten egg and bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 15-20 minutes, until they are beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool before using.
